Taiwan Global Pathfinders Itinerary: 19 Days in Geneva

2026.08.06 — 08.24 · 19 days in Geneva

This itinerary follows my participation in 「全球外掛:組織進化論」, a Geneva organisational learning programme supported by Taiwan’s Youth Overseas Dream Fund, also known as the Taiwan Global Pathfinders Initiative. The trip ran from 2026-08-06 — 2026-08-24: 19 calendar days including travel.

For readers outside Taiwan, the programme is best understood here as a funded youth learning opportunity combining workshops, organisational visits and professional exchanges. The articles below explain each visit independently, so no familiarity with the application process is needed.

Two NMA workshops connect the visits, providing a starting point in organisational management and a later opportunity to work on communication and project design. Each article opens with institutional context, then develops the cases and discussions from the visit.

The 19-day schedule

The table follows the formal programme by date. Weekends and Friday evenings are marked as free time, with transport arrangements retained on travel days.

Small Stories from International Geneva: An Underground Border, Labour Murals and a Shared Table

This companion article connects CERN’s underground ring, a fan used in treaty advocacy, the WTO’s labour murals, a Swiss soft drink discussed as a resource-use example, and the work behind a shared restaurant table.

How the programme’s themes connect

The opening NMA workshop introduced organisational management. Visits to CIEL, TRIAL, CERN and the Red Cross and Red Crescent Museum then showed different approaches to legal work, research and humanitarian action.

The second week developed the relationships between institutions. Zoï explored environmental information; GCBHR and the CCPR Centre approached human rights through different kinds of work. GEN, GGKP and UNEP FI added perspectives on networks, knowledge and finance. Cuisine Lab brought training and social support into everyday restaurant operations, while the career dialogue described how professionals build experience across roles.

The later NMA workshop returned to communication, advocacy and project design. The final WTO visit connected the programme with member negotiations, interdepartmental expertise and trade institutions. Read together, the articles show how different organisations involve partners, organise information, obtain resources and sustain their work.

The schedule draws on the programme report and collaborative visit notes. Institutional background and further sources are linked within the individual articles.
